History
The town of Wenham, originally called Enon, was part of the first settlement in Essex County in 1628.  Wenham,  Beverly, Manchester, Marblehead, Danvers, Topsfield, and part of Lynn were originally part of Salem.   It is about 20 miles north of Boston.  It is bounded by Hamilton, Beverly, Danvers, and Topsfield.

First Church in Wenham
First Church in Wenham was organized in 1644.  There is some history on the church website at www.firstchurchwenham.org.

Cemeteries

The Wenham Cemetery is located on Route 1A, about half a mile from the center of town, next to the Wenham Golf Course.  There are many very old gravestones in the front part of the cemetery, some recording deaths in the early 1700's.  Some of these pictures can be viewed here.
